ATRUA Proteins will be returning to FIE in November 2024 and exhibiting on the Marigot Group stand. ATURA will be at stand 3.0D31 in the health ingredients section. The stand will present new applications using ATURA’s updated protein range focusing on clean label, protein fortification and organoleptics.
Plant Based Protein Fortification
Protein fortification is increasingly important in today’s market as consumers become more health-conscious and seek functional foods that offer enhanced nutritional benefits. Adding protein to products supports muscle maintenance, boosts satiety, and meets dietary needs for people with active lifestyles, aging populations, and plant-based preferences.
As demand for high-protein foods grows across multiple sectors, from snacks to beverages, protein fortification provides a competitive advantage, aligning with wellness trends and enabling brands to meet evolving consumer expectations for healthier, functional options. At the event, we will showcase a cheese spread alternative that contains double the protein of traditional dairy soft cheeses while not compromising on taste or texture.
Clean label
Clean label has become a key focus in today’s food and beverage market as consumers demand transparency and simpler ingredients. Prioritizing clean label formulations means using fewer artificial additives, preservatives, and unrecognizable ingredients, which builds consumer trust and aligns with the growing preference for natural and minimally processed foods.
This shift not only enhances brand loyalty but also supports health-conscious consumers who are increasingly scrutinizing labels and looking for products they can feel good about. Clean label practices help brands stay relevant by delivering on the promise of quality, simplicity, and transparency. To showcase ATURA products role in creating clean label products, our R&D laboratory have created a clean label protein bar that delivers nutrition and flavour while remaining 100% natural.
Organoleptics
In today’s market, the focus on organoleptics—taste, texture, aroma, and appearance—is essential as consumers prioritize not only nutritional benefits but also a satisfying sensory experience. Products that excel in organoleptic qualities are more likely to appeal to consumers and build brand loyalty, especially as more people explore plant-based, protein-enriched, or functional foods.
Prioritizing organoleptics allows brands to stand out, creating memorable and enjoyable products that keep consumers coming back. For this reason, our R&D team investigated chickpea protein’s viability as a replacement for rice protein in full amino acid blends with pea protein. The team established that the addition of chickpea protein improved the organoleptic properties such as taste, mouthfeel and texture. We will be showcasing several varieties of sports nutrition drinks such as a salted caramel protein shake which delivers 75% protein.
